The procedures for exporting vegetables and fruits


The owner of the farm, packing station, or packing center, or his or her representative, goes to the Egyptian Exporters Council for Agricultural Produce to fill out a request for coding of the farm, packing station, or packing center and to find out the required documents.

  • A three-member committee composed of the Agricultural Quarantine, the Egyptian Exporters Council, and the Haya Association inspects the farm, packing station, or packing center, according to the conditions stipulated in the ministerial decision referred to.
  • If the farm, packing station, or packing center passes the inspection and acceptance stage, it is granted an export code.
  • The farm is entitled to export the quantities that have been determined by the three-member committee, and it is also permitted to cede all or part of this quantity to other export companies by letters of assignment submitted to the Egyptian Exporters Council.
  • The Egyptian Exporters Council issues letters of allocation for the quantities authorized to be exported from each code of crops subject to the system for each exporting company.
  • The Egyptian Exporters Council provides the Egyptian Agricultural Quarantine with a regularly updated list of farms, packing stations, or packing centers that have been approved and their codes.
  • Companies wishing to export agricultural products go to the Agricultural Quarantine to register their data.
  • The Central Laboratory for Pesticide Residue Analysis issues the results of the samples according to the sampling method.
